The 2015 Global Digital Marketing Summit kicked off in Shanghai at the International Convention Center on Dec. 1, 2015, with over 4,000 global marketing gurus and industry leaders in attendance.  Day 1 of the grand event, which attracted a stellar cast of luminaries including Steven Cheng, Tencent VP, Gavin Pathross, CDO China Yum! Brands, Huawei CBG CMO Glory Zhang, and Paul Hu, CMO Greater China & Asean, Volkswagen China, launched the event with an opening day keynote fireside client chat chaired by Lawrence Wan, Amnet China Managing Director.  Two invited guest speakers are Anthony Ho, Mondelēz Marketing Director – Media, Digital & Consumer Engagement and Keen Yim, MCM Global VP of Marketing and Communications.

The knowledge-sharing presentation took the form of a live 1 on 1 chat with each client, to a packed forum with standing room only, revolving around impact of the data, technology, ecommerce and new digital realities on global brands’ media & marketing plans in China.  The speakers opened the conversation by sharing best digital practices and advanced online marketing strategies regarding their successful use of the digital marketing platforms. Afterwards they carried on with topics ranging from achieved benefits from digital engagement to the future of mobile marketing. Moreover, both Keen and Anthony, representing cutting-edge influencers from global brands, spoken about how they incorporated big data technology, audience analytics, and programmatic approach into their marketing & ROI strategies, and the benefits achieved from the close partnership with Amnet and DAN agencies Carat and Clarity/Vizeum.  Both clients noted that there was no holy grail on how to leverage new technology and digital innovation for their brands. Instead, they first focused more so being clear with their business objectives, understanding the new changing consumer behavior, identifying how new technology and innovation added value for those areas, and working with expert and trust partners to test, learn and evolve quickly.
